All construction at the Deaf & Blind Community is funded entirely by charitable gifts and pledges, grants, and loans. No government money is involved.
Land purchase and construction of current apartment Building #1 was funded by $1.2 million in donations and grants plus construction loans.
Donations and grants also help fund daily operations. Donors may designate funds to one or more projects. (see Current Fund Raising Projects below).
Ways to Donate
Donations to Alder Springs are tax deductible as allowed by law. Appropriate receipts and acknowledgment will be sent for each donation.

Updated Pager Alert System
Upgraded belt pager alert system with five distinct vibration patterns. Currently, Deaf/Blind residents receive a belt pager alert device at no additional cost.
Pets are allowed at Alder Springs. A 40 ft x 30 ft fenced dog park with shade, benches and other amenities is planned.
Property Line Perimeter Fence
For additional security, phase 2 of a 6 ft. high fence around the property line is planed.
Resident Assistance Fund
Some residents need rental assistance. Management qualifies this need and offers assistance using this designated fund.
